NPW Star Award – Jason Dickens Derby City Pubwatch Chair

On 25th September 2018 NPW Regional Representative Trevor Pepper presented Jason Dickens with a Star Award for service to the Derby City Pubwatch scheme. Jason has chaired the scheme for 6 years.

He is a local business man who runs Atlas security.

Has worked hard to build strong relationships with the Police Neighbourhood team, the BID and community safety. Funds have been secured to keep the city CCTV network running and Taxi marshals within the city centre on key nights.

Jason has recently secured funding from Derbyshire Police & Crime Commissioner to establish a digital radio link for the retail and Pubwatch schemes, which is now supported by the police and enables a better operational response to licensed premises. Street pastors have also joined the scheme and are able to support venues via the radio link.

Jason has also helped to develop partnership working with a local taxi firm in order to help get vulnerable students back to University via a safe driver scheme.

He is a key member of the city centre partnership and with his leadership it keeps Derby City Pubwatch moving forward and relevant.

Jason was honoured to receive his award and accepted it on behalf of the Pubwatch scheme.
