NPW is pleased to announce that we are piloting a new initiative to aid police investigations into serious crimes affecting the pub and hospitality trade. The new ‘Information Wanted’ section can be accessed through the NPW website and the very latest images will be shown on the Home Page. Our friends at Pubwatch On-line have agreed to cascade the information to the members using their messaging service and the Publican’s Morning Advertiser are making this a regular ‘Caught on Camera’ feature.
We have been able to feature several different Police appeals during the pilot which have ranged from serious assaults to burglary and attempted theft. Information and images relating to these crimes is provided by and remains the responsibility of the police.
This is a new facility and may take some time to develop but we hope that it will prove to be a useful tool to aid the detection of crime and again demonstrate the benefits of partnership working. To keep the ‘Information Wanted’ section relevant we will be running stories for 6 weeks before archiving them.
If your business, staff or customers have been victims of a serious crime and you have a good CCTV image of the offender, then we will would be pleased to feature an appeal on our site. However we can only do so with the cooperation and support of the investigating officer.
