New support for families in the licensed drinks trade

Licensed Trade Charity Support & Care has launched its new support programme, Education & Training Support, aimed at families in the licensed drinks trade. The programme includes useful, downloadable guides on subjects such as how to deal with problems at school and how to keep children active, and also provides financial assistance for essential education costs for families that are struggling financially, including grants for school uniforms, school meals, text books, school trips and learning aids.

Kath Gill, Head of Licensed Trade Charity Support & Care, says: “We know what a joy and a challenge raising children can be. The aim of our Education & Training Support programme is to support families in the licensed drinks trade by providing useful, practical guidance on school life, and to help with the extra costs that make a difference if you are struggling. Our grants are designed to give you a helping hand if you need it during tough times so your children can make the most of their time at school.”

To find out more information about the guides, grants, grant eligibility criteria and how to apply, visit the charity’s Education & Training Support website section, or call their free* helpline on 0808 801 0550.

Licensed Trade Charity offers help and guidance free of charge to people that work in or have retired from the licensed drinks trade. The charity has long-established experience in providing support on a wide range of issues including debt, health problems, housing and family matters. The charity helps thousands of people each year, with an aim to provide a brighter future for each of them.
