Release of new National Pubwatch film: Door Security and Search Procedures

We are delighted to announce the release of our latest film relating to door security and search procedures.

The film was produced to highlight the issues related to ensuring that your door staff are not only qualified and registered with the Security Industry Authority but that they are working to your company policy and procedures and fully understand the venues licensing conditions.

Door supervisors can be an important and valued asset and your first line of defence in proving due diligence; however if you delegate responsibility, your security arrangements and customer care may not be how you, or your company want them to be.

Mike Reddington Chief Executive of BSIA said:

“The BSIA welcomes the National Pubwatch latest campaign on door security and search procedures.

We recommend that all venues looking to recruit qualified SIA registered door staff engage a BSIA member company to guarantee that you are purchasing a quality security guarding service that follows the correct standards and procedures.

The BSIA website provides a list of guarding company members as well as guidance that will assist you in finding the right security solution. There is also useful information relating to compliance and requirements checklists designed to assist in creating a quality procurement process.”

Our thanks to the management of The Scotch Bar who generously made their venue available for filming and the skills of Marcus Richardson (Mini Mammoth Films) and professional actors for making this production possible.
