Screening live sports in your pub or bar – new film from National Pubwatch

20/11/20: We are pleased to release the latest National Pubwatch film

The end of Covid-19 restrictions may appear to be a long way off, but hopefully in the not too distant future the pub and hospitality trade will once again be able to open its doors to customers wishing to experience the big screen atmosphere of live sport in their favourite venue.

Based on guidance issued by the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA), the film aims to compliment their advice and provides a handy checklist for licensees to ensure all angles are considered and covered when it comes to running a successful pub event.

As well as liaising with the police and licensing authorities, the checklist covers issues such as staffing, controlling admissions in a sensible way, use of glassware or plastic etc.

We have tried to make the film enjoyable and a little tongue in cheek (pickled egg anyone?) but we hope that it will provide a welcome addition to our ever growing source of free good practice guidance.

The film can be viewed on our YouTube page here

We would like to thank the management of the Broad Leys pub in Aylesbury for their generous support in making this film. Thanks again to Marcus and the talented team from Mini Mammoth films for their professional skills in making this film possible.
