Pubwatch recognised in Home Office Police Led Alcohol Intervention Checklist and Toolkit

July 2023: The Home Office has just launched a new toolkit to help police officers identify appropriate interventions to tackle a range of alcohol related issues.

We are grateful that the Home Office has recognised the important role that Pubwatch schemes play in:

• pre-empting crime and anti-social behaviour
• building close working relationships with police and local authorities
• maintaining a safe and secure social environment for customers and staff

The toolkit features a checklist /self-audit tool which allows police forces, Police and Crime Commissioners and partner agencies to review local police efforts to tackle alcohol-related harm.
