National Pubwatch has signed up to the Women’s Night Safety Charter, which is a London wide response to the fact that too many women feel unsafe when travelling, working or going out for the night.
Organisations supporting the Charter pledge to demonstrate to staff and customers that they seriously the issue of women’s safety.
The Women’s Night Safety Charter is part of the London Mayor’s Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy.
National Pubwatch has a long history of working with pubs and bars to create safer venues for staff and customers, and we have supported and promoted a number of initiatives, such as Ask for Angela. Over the coming months we intend to further develop our work to support vulnerable people.
London pubs and clubs may wish to sign up to the Charter. They can do so by following the following Women’s Night Safety Charter link.
